Maoist Center’s SC meeting underway at Khumaltar

To dwell on local elections

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has called a Standing Committee (SC) meeting today.

The SC meeting is taking place at Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar.

The meeting will dwell on the election preparations and the electoral alliance for the upcoming local level elections, sources have said.

Even though the ruling alliance has formed an electoral alliance, it has not yet finalized the names of candidates and the local units from where  they will contest the upcoming elections.

Prachanda has called a meeting with the former SC members as the general convention of the party held recently has been able to elect office-bearers.
