PM Deuba congratulates rights activist Bhumika



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has congratulated social activist Bhumika Shrestha on her being honoured with the ‘International Courageous Women Award’ for this year.

The US Department of State conferred the award on Shrestha for her contribution to the rights of non-binary people.

PM Deuba took to Twitter and congratulated Bhumika Shrestha for receiving the prestigious International Courageous Women Award in recognition to her advocacy of the rights of LGBTQ+ community.

It is the second time in row the Nepali got such award.
