Maoist Center leader Shrestha directs cadres to focus on election

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Narayan Kaji Shrestha has directed the leaders and cadres to concentrate their attention on local level elections.

Senior leader Shrestha urged the cadres to be united and strengthen party organization in view of the approaching local level election. He said it at a province level orientation to the party cadres and leaders.

He stressed on strengthening of party organization, reasoning that decision for electoral alliance was not made yet though central government was running on coalition. “So, preparations should be made to face the election on our own party strength,” he reminded.

Shrestha, however, said in important places, electoral alliance could be forged. Ideological viewpoint must be kept intact in the party, he said, adding that only clear policy and course of action could protect communist movement.
