NEPSE rises by 53.30 points Tuesday

All 13 subgroups go green today

KATHMANDU: The stock market gauge NEPSE index showed the recovery move on Tuesday. The Nepse index, which had increased by 0.08 points on Monday, has risen by 53.30 points on Tuesday and reached 2,754.28 points.

The index, which declined by 101 points on the first trading day of the week, rose on Monday and Tuesday continuously.

According to NEPSE data, the Sensitive Index rose by 10.83 points, the Float Index by 3.38 points and the Sensitive Float Index by 2.87 points today.

A total of 63,43,228 shares of 224 companies worth Rs 3.23 billion were traded on Tuesday.

However, the transaction amount has declined more than on Monday. Monday had seen the total of Rs 3.68 billion transaction.

All the 13 sub-groups of NEPSE turned green today. The index of the hydropower sub-group increased by 4.32 percent. Similarly, the index of others subgroup increased by 3.38 percent, finance subgroup by 2.85 percent, microfinance by 2.82 percent, development bank subgroup by 2.71 percent, investment subgroup by 2.49 percent and other subgroups by more than 1 percent. Similarly, share prices of 10 companies have risen along with the NEPSE index on Tuesday.  Out of of these, 7 companies are hydropower companies. Today, the share prices of almost all mutual funds have declined.

On the basis of transaction, Himalayan Distillery topped the list with a turnover of Rs 227.7 million on Tuesday. Similarly, National Hydropower and Nepal Telecom had a turnover of over Rs 180 million.
