KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) today.

The meeting of the CWEC has been called for 3 pm to dwell on the issues related to the party’s sister organizations, the US government’s MCC grant assistance, holding the convention in the remaining districts, upcoming local level elections and other issues, NC leader and Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said.

Of the 37 members of the CWEC, 35 members have already put forth their views in the meetings continuing for the last three days. The remaining members will deliver their views in today’s meeting.

The decisions taken in the meeting will be made public once all the members of the committee will put forth their views, informed Keshav Rijal, the secretary of the central office of the NC.

The NC had on January 28 formed a 37-member CWEC in accordance with Article 23 of the party charter.

Thirteen office-bearers including the party president become ex-officio members of the CWEC as per the provision of the party statute.
