Politics is derailed: NC Vice President Gurung

KATHMANDU: Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Dhanraj Gurung, has expressed worry over the derailed politics in the country.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 47th installation of Siddhartha Jaycees on Saturday, he argued, “Nepali politics has lost its right track. The country has witnessed frequent problems as the leaderships have failed to sacrifice. It is a serious problem indeed.”

We have been working for bringing politics on right track, he said, adding that the leaders having clear views were being sidelined, which is another worrying trend. “I was elected NC Vice President with utmost hardship,” he shared, expressing concern why even the social organization gives priority to the top political post.

He urged one and all to boycott the corrupt figures. “Corrupt can neither be tolerated in a party nor in the country. If anyone rises to unexpected status, general public should begin investigation into him/her.”

On the occasion, Executive Vice Chairperson of Nepal Jaycees, Anil Bahadur Sahi, reminded that Jaycees had played a significant role on leadership development and humanitarian service.
