Eight districts have more than 500 active cases of COVID-19



KATHMANDU: With the spiking number of coronavirus cases in the country, the number of districts with more than 500 active cases has reached eight on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), eight districts of Province 1, Bagamti, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces have got more than 500 cases as of Saturday.

MoHP informed that Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski and Kailali districts have more than 500 active cases of coronavirus.

There are 9,061 active cases in Kathmandu, 2,382 in Lalitpur and 1,371 in Bhaktapur.

Similarly, seven more districts have got more than 200 active cases of COVID-19. The list of districts with more than 200 active cases includes Jhapa, Dhunsha, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Nawalparasi East, Banke and Rupandehi.
