Bharatpur Hospital advises general patients not to visit hospital

BHARATPUR: Citing the increasing number of coronavirus cases of late, Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan has urged the general patients not to come to the hospital as visiting such places increases vulnerability.

Issuing a press release on Saturday, the hospital alerted the general visitors against the coronavirus third wave.

Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel mentioned that a large number of doctors and health workers have been infected at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and Bir Hospital in Kathmandu which indicates the vulnerability of the coronavirus from the hospital.

“As the coroanvirus cases are at rise in hospitals and everywhere, the normal and follow-up patients are advised not to visit hospital unless it is urgent,” Poudel said.

A total of 95 out of 172 people tested positive at Bharatpur Hospital on January 13.

Similarly, out of 186 samples tested on January 14, 115 were found to be positive. The number seen positive on January 13 is 55 percent, while the number seen on January 14 is 61.25 percent.
