Death toll of Tanahu jeep accident reaches six



TANAHU: The death toll of Tanahu jeep accident has reached six. The accident took place on Friday evening when the jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6555) fell around 100 meters off the road at Dharampani of Bandipur rural municipality-6 in Tanahu.

Four persons died on the spot while two died in course of treatment, said police.

The deceased have been identified as Roshan Gurung, 24, nine month-old child Aarubi Thapa of Bandipur-6, Hari Bahadur Neupane, 53, Sushila Devi Neupane, 48, Bim Maya Gurung, 76 and Suk Bahadur Gurung, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Tanahu, Yubraj Khadka.

Similarly, Jamuna Thapa, 21 (mother of Aarubi Thapa), Mamkuli Thapa, 48, Kumari Gurung, 22, Samisa Thapa, 16, and a seven-month child Bibisha Thapa were injured in the incident. The injured are receiving treatment at Bandipur Hospital.
