KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai have inched closer to an agreement on contesting the forthcoming election under a single election symbol and manifesto.

According to a source close to Dr. Bhattarai, the leaders have intensified their election-centered talks of late.

“The leaders of both Maoist Center and NSP have reached near to an agreement on the agenda of contesting the forthcoming election under the single election symbol and manifest,” an NSP leader said under anonymity, adding, “The meetings held in this regards for a few days are about to bear the fruits.”

There was also a discussion between them on Sunday.

Dr. Bhattarai is preparing to contest from Gorkha Constituency 2.
