USARPAC General Flynn terms Nepal visit ‘terrific’

KATHMANDU: U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) General Charles A. Flynn has termed his four-day Nepal visit as terrific.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, General Flynn thanked Nepali Army (NA) Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhuram Sharma for a terrific visit this week to Nepal.

He also posted a collage of pictures taken during his visit.

“We cherish our decades long defense partnership & look forward to future opportunities for collaboration,” he tweeted.

General Flynn arrived in Kathmandu on June 9 on a four-day visit prior to NA CoAS Sharma’s scheduled visit to United States followed by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit to the US in July. He returned on June 12.

He called on PM Deuba and CoAS Sharma, among others, and inspected various NA initiatives and training centers during his Nepal visit.
