KATHMANDU: Commercial banks have given continuity to Jestha’s interest rates for Ashad (mid-June to mid-July 2022).

Ashad is the last month of the running fiscal year 2078/79 BS (2021/22 AD).

The interest rates published by the banks for Ashad (mid-June to mid-July) showed a continuity to the previous month’s interest rates.

Banks decided not to increase the interest rates as doing so would also increase their cost of fund.

Despite raising interest rates and having failed to attracts deposits, banks have been keeping the interest rates fixed since Falgun.
