UML candidate Subedi leads Maoist Center’s Dahal by four votes



KATHMANDU: Bijay Subedi, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count.

Of 55 votes counted so far, Subedi has garnered 23 votes. His nearest contender was Renu Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate representing the ruling alliance, who collected 19 votes.

Likewise, Jagannath Poudel, an independent mayor candidate, got seven votes. Poudel placed himself as a rebel candidate from Nepali Congress (NC) after his party formed alliance with Maoist Center.
