Independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah taking lead in KMC

KATHMANDU: Independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah is taking an initial lead in the vote-counting in Kathmandu Metropolis.

Out of the 75 votes counted so far, Balen Shah is leading the count with 22 votes followed by Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh with 18 votes.

Likewise, UML’s mayoral candidate Keshab Sthapit has got 13 votes so far while RPP candidate Madan Das Shrestha has got 3 votes.
