One-day Aksharaa Children’s Literature Festival concludes

KATHMANDU: A one-day ‘Aksharaa Children’s Literature Festival’ has concluded on Monday.

The festival organized with the objective of developing reading culture among students and parents was attended by Former Prime Minister and Federal Council Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Dr Baburam Bhattarai, popular writer Amar Neupane and various influential personalities from the field.

Various literary programs were held in the festival and students, parents and teachers interacted with popular writers in the festival organized by Kageshwari Manohara-based Aksharaa School.

About 4,000 people took part in the festival that featured literary dialogues, musical presentations, puppet shows, among others. Similarly, three sessions were held on teaching and learning of 13 different literary languages.

About 700 students from 24 schools participated in the festival.
