Maoist Chairman Prachanda rules out possibility of an early election

DHANGADHI: Chairman of the ruling CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has ruled out the possibility of early elections.

Prachanda said so at a time when the parliament has not been able to function smoothly for the past six months due to the CPN-UML’s obstruction.

Meanwhile, he dismissed rumors of the early election saying that the elections would be held at the stipulated time.

Speaking at the Dhangadhi Airport on Monday, Prachanda said, “UML has dissolved the parliament twice. Parliament is not allowed to function. Rumors have been spread about early elections. That’s not true.”

Prachanda said that since the date for the local level elections has already been announced, the process will move forward accordingly.
