Six districts report over 500 active COVID cases

KATHMANDU: With the increasing cases of Omicron, a new variant of COVID-19, the number of districts, recording more than 500 active cases, is also increasing in Nepal.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Sunsari is Friday’s addition to the list of districts reporting more than 500 active cases.

With the latest addition, the number of districts having over 500 active cases has reached six.

Till Thursday, the five districts comprising over 500 active virus cases were Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Morang and Karki.
