Jajarkot jeep mishap: Death toll reaches 12



JAJARKOT: The number of passengers killed in a jeep accident in Jajarkot on Monday afternoon has reached 12.

Among the dead ones, eight victims are from the same ward. Those killed in the accidents were Man Bahadur Rawat (driver) from Bhagawatimai Rural Municipality-2 of Dailekh and helpers to driver Birendra KC and Ammar Khada from ward no 3 of same rural municipality.

Similarly, Dipak Adhikari, Nainasara Adhikari, Jaikubara Budha, Ram Bahadur Budha, Devisara Budha, Amar Adhikari, Nisha Adhikari from Chhedagad Municipality-5 died in the incident. Jaivan Adhikari, injured in the incident, died while being treated at Surkhet based Province Hospital.

The District Police Office, Jajarkot further informed that Bir Bahadur Khatri from Chhedagad-6 also died in the incident.

A jeep (Karnali Province 2001 Cha 0429) heading to ward no 4 of Chedagad from ward no 3 had fallen into the Dashera cliff on Monday.
