Nineteen gamblers arrested



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 19 people for gambling in Chitwan and Banke districts.

Chiranjivi Sadoula, 42, residing in Unantol, Khairahani Municipality-3, Chitwan, and seven others were arrested by police on Thursday morning.

A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Khairhani, found them gambling and held them along with Rs 24,520 in cash and a deck of card.

Police arrested 12 people, including Upendra Rana, 35, a resident of the same municipality-11, while gambling at the Maxx Hotel Kohalpur Municipality-11, New Road, Banke.

The police team from the Area Police Office, Kohalpur, arrested them along with Rs 231,180 in cash and six decks of cards.
