Nine candidates withdraw nominations in Banke: EC

BANKE: Nine candidates have withdrawn their candidature for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly election in Banke.

According to the Office of the Returning, one candidate standing for the House of Representatives seat and eight for the Provincial Assembly have taken back their nominations.

Rabindraman Shrestha, who had filed his nominations in Banke constituency number-3, has withdrawn his candidature.

Likewise, Provincial Assembly candidates Ugrasen Yadav and Bikram Yadav from constituency-1, Rajendra Kandel and Binaychandra Gupta as independent candidates from no-2, Zakir Hussain, Deepak GM, Indra Bahadur Thapa, Rajkumar Dhakal and Sant Bahadur Khatri as Provincial Assembly candidates from constituency no 3 withdrew their nominations.

Banke with three constituencies will elected a total of nine representatives to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly.

Altogether 99 candidates are in the gray for the nine seats. General elections for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly are scheduled to be held on coming November 20.
