Leopard rescued from human settlement in Itahari

KATHMANDU: A leopard venturing into a human settlement area of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City has been rescued safely.

A leopard was spotted around the Jute Bikas tole in Itahari.

The leopard was brought under control with the help of security personnel and wildlife technicians.

The leopard has been sent to Division Forest Office, Inaruwa, Sunsari, police said.

Residents of the area where the leopard was seen were terrified and the administration had urged the public not to leave their homes until the leopard was brought under control.

Public life has returned to normal after the wildlife has been rescued.
