NEPSE to open six days a week, to operate two hours on Fridays

KATHMANDU: The share market will be open six days a week with effect from June 15.

According to Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) spokesperson Murahari Parajuli, the market will be open six days a week except for Saturday from coming Wednesday.

Parajuli informed that the share trading will be open from 11 am to 3 pm from Sunday to Thursday and the market will remain open from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday.

The new decision comes after the government announced the cancellation of public leave on Sunday.

Earlier, in tune with the government’s decision to grant holidays on Saturday and Sunday, NEPSE used to open Sunday to Friday.

The government had decided to grant public leave on Saturday and Sunday since May 15.

NEPSE was also doing regular business on Friday by giving leave on Sunday along with the decision of the government.
