Aerial Firing at Kumbhakarna, Dhanusha



JANAKPURDHAM: Police have to take aerial firing when a dispute arose over the alleged abuse of the vote of a visually impaired person at Shahidnagar-1, Kumbhakarna, Dhanusha.

According to DSP Pradip Chhetri, police took to firing to control the situation that erupted over a dispute on the vote of a visually impaired person.

The dispute arose over an assistant Polling Officer’s stamping the vote against the will of the impaired person.

DSP Chhetri informed that the police had to fire to take the situation under control when two parties came to clash over the vote of 70-year-old Dukhi Sah Sonar at Kumbharkarna polling center.

According to him, the voting has resumed after the officials and the political parties agreed to cancel the vote cast against Sonar’s wish.
