NEPSE goes green on last day of 2078 BS

Stock market rises by 30.24 points Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The share market has gone green on the last transaction day of the year 2078 BS.

NEPSE, which had seen a sharp fall in the indicator of late, ended with an affirmative note marking the rise of 30.24 points Wednesday.

The stock market index rose to 2415.24 points today. However, the share turnover has been less than Rs 1.5 billion today.

Excitingly, all 13 groups in the NEPSE sub-group witnessed greenery.

Other groups rose the most at 2.28 percent. The microfinance group grew by 2.14 percent, the banking by 1.11 percent, business group by 0.49 percent, hotel and tourism by 1.58 percent and  development bank by 1.53 percent today.

Similarly, hydro-power rose by 0.94 percent, finance group by 0.87 percent, non-life insurance group by 1.17 percent, manufacturing and processing group by 1.12 percent, life insurance group by 0.73 percent, mutual fund group by 0.44 percent and investment group by 0.72 percent Wednesday.

Of the 229 companies listed on NEPSE today, 3,398,643 shares have been bought and sold at a price of Rs 1.47 billion.

Shivam Cement had the highest turnover of Rs 84.3 million today.

The shareholders of NESDO Sambriddhi Microfinance turned luckiest today as the share price of this microfinance has seen a positive circuit with a 10 percent increase.

On this day, the shareholders of United IDI Mardi lost the most. The company’s share price has fallen by 2 percent today.
