Principal held with Rs 300,000 bribe



KATHMANDU: Principal of B.P. Koirala Adarsha Secondary School, Rautahat has been arrested with a bribe.

Acting on a tip-off, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Principal Rakesh Kumar Thakur with Rs 300,000 in bribes.

The anti-graft body also arrested Dipendra Kumar Jha, a local, in this connection.

They were arrested from Yamuna rural municipality-4, Chandranigahapur, Gaur, said the CIAA.

Thakur was arrested on the charge of asking for a kickback from a service seeker for extending the contract period.
