Three people die in Tanahun road mishap



KATHMANDU: Three persons died in a road accident that occurred Sunday afternoon at Yenapahara of Anbukhairani Rural Municipality-2 in Tanahun district along the Prithvi Highway.

The District Police Office, Tanahun, said two men and a woman died in the accident. The identity of the deceased is not ascertained as yet, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yubraj Khadka said.

The accident took place after a bus (Ga 2 Kha 307) heading to Anbukhairani from Mugling and a van (Ga 3 Cha 6012) from the opposite direction collided head on.

Nine injured persons are sent to Old Medical College in Chitwan for further treatment. Most of the injured passengers are from Tanahun and Gorkha districts.

Details of the accident are awaited.
