NEPSE witnesses a green leap Sunday

Stock market increases by more than 100 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has witnessed a high rise on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The NEPSE increased by 101.07 points and reached 2667.97 points today.

Similarly, the transaction amount also increased encouragingly. Today, the turnover was 4.87 billion. Investors in 188 companies traded today experienced earn. Investors in four companies bore the loss.

Likewise, the share prices of seven companies rose sharply today. Asian Life Insurance Company, Jyoti Life Insurance Company and Sanima Life Insurance Company witnessed a remarkable rise. Shares of Asian Life Insurance Company rose 10 percent to reach Rs 885.50 per share, while Jyoti Life Insurance Company rose 10 percent to become Rs 651.50 per share. Shares of Sanima Life Insurance Company rose 10 percent and became Rs 566.50 per share.

Similarly, shares of Emerging Power Company, Surya Life Insurance Company, Corporate Development Bank and Manjushree Finance Company also rose by more than 9 percent today.

Today, Shivam Cement has the highest turnover. The company has a turnover of over 343.6 million today.
