JHAPA: Two persons have been arrested on Saturday from Arjundhara and Mechinagar municipalities of Jhapa district along with the banned narcotics, brown sugar.
The arrested are Kumar Rajbanshi, 45, of Mechinagar-12 and Res Bahadur Sarki, 36, of Bhangbari in Arjundhara-4, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.
A police team deployed from Area Police Office, Kankarvitta and Drug Control Bureau arrested Rajbanshi along with four grams of brown sugar from near Mechi Bridge and Sarki was arrested by the Khudunabari Temporary Police Post on the same day along with two grams of brown sugar.
Police said that further investigation is underway on both arrests.
