Nepal sees 3,553 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 1,916 cases in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,553 new cases of coronavirus while 271 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,922 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 631 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 1,449 cases in Kathmandu, 150 in Bhaktapur and 317 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 1,916 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there was one coronavirus-related death reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,610 till date.

There are 14,340 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Thursday.
