Rights won’t be lost: Senior leader Poudel

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress and candidate of House of Representatives member from constituency no 1 of Tanahu district, Ramchandra Poudel, said he would not let the atmosphere that rights people got would be lost.

Addressing a cadres’ meeting at Barbhanjyang-6 of Bhanu Municipality today, senior leader Poudel viewed the constitution gained with much struggle and the rights it has guaranteed would not be lost. He however said conspiracy was being hatched against constitution and democracy.

“The constitution we brought is the best one in south Asia. It has ensured rights to all classes. So, it will be protected and promoted,” he underscored, reminding that the ruling alliance was formed for the protection of constitution.

He further said the alliance would remain intact even after November 20 election to House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.

The senior leader argued that he could not quit politics because the development works were yet to be completed in the district.

After he was defeated in the last parliamentary election, the development works in the district were ditched.

“I’ve a dream for development and resolution to materialize,” Poudel said, stressing that alliance is imperative for country’s development and good governance. The system changed but the people’s status did not in the country, he admitted.
