KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, has vowed to establish Kathmandu constituency-8 as the capital of heritages.

Also a candidate of left-democratic alliance from this constituency, Shrestha said he would play a leading role to develop this constituency as the tourism area.

He would take initiative to complete the construction works of heritage route from Hanumandhoka to Swayambhu, he added.

Minister Shrestha in his commitment paper mentioned the launch of a campaign to harvest rainwater, formulation of a necessary policy to establish tourism business as the industry as well as arrangement of tourism related training to youths to make them skilled and capable.

He expressed commitment to arrange skill-oriented training to youths for promoting self-employment.
