Deepak Manange to be elected unopposed from Manang

POKHARA: Youth and Sports Minister of Gandaki Province, Rajeev Gurung ‘Deepak Manange’ will be elected unopposed as a member of the state assembly of Gandaki Province.

Manange was elected unopposed after the ruling five-party alliance and the opposition UML did not field a candidate in his constituency.

Dorje Lama Gurung has registered his nomination as an independent candidate against Manange from Manang’s Provincial Assembly ‘B’.

Dorje submitted an application to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office on Wednesday to withdraw his candidature.

With the withdrawal of his candidacy, Manange was elected unopposed.
