KATHMANDU: Mayor of Chitwan’s Bharatpur Metropolitan City Renu Dahal has requested Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to further the construction activities of Dhurmus-Foundation initiated International Cricket Stadium.

Meeting Prime Minister Deuba at his official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning, Mayor Dahal requested the PM for necessary assistance in the construction of the stadium.

The construction work of the stadium was started by the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation of artists Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmus’ and Kunjana Ghimire ‘Suntali’. The construction work carried out by the foundation by collecting donations from various individuals and organizations is currently stalled.
