Changunarayan Municipality to launch Mahadevkhola multidimensional project

BHAKTAPUR: The Changunarayan Municipality has decided to launch the Mahadevkhola multidimensional project in the coming fiscal year, 2079/80.

Mayor Jivan Khatri has shared the information that the multidimensional project would be focused on irrigation, drinking water and electricity production.

He added that the project had aimed to contribute significantly to elevate the status of Changunarayan people on drinking water, irrigation, electricity and tourism.

Such information was shared at an interaction organized by Electro MS International Nepal with the coordination and assistance of the municipality on Monday.

A tourism road will be constructed under the project. The tourism road would be developed from Jyotirlingeshwor Mahadev Temple of Jhaukhel which would go through Trishuldanda, Telkot, Peace Stupa, and Sudal to Kalpeshwor Temple bordering Kavre district.

Similarly, the municipality has planned to provide blood for free of cost to the needy people.

The blood would be provided to the needy patients by coordinating with Nepal Red Cross Society, Bhaktapur branch.

Moreover, the senior citizens would be provided health check up service at their residences for free of cost.

The Changunarayan Hospital would also be upgraded. The girl students from the schools in the municipality would be distributed sanitary pad, and a policy launched for operating electronic vehicles for community schools.

On the occasion, Chief Administrative Officer Hari Prasad Chapagain said media could learn about the duties and responsibility of local level and the human resources required for discharging duties.

He further said the municipality has had forwarded the plan to link it to the network of fast track.

Similarly, municipality spokesperson and chairperson of ward-8, Janak Khatri, viewed cooperation from all sides was imperative to implement the policy and budgets.

Haphazard plotting of land would be discouraged by launching land planning work procedure.
