KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML has demanded in Parliament to inform about the visit of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to the United States.
Speaking in the House of Representatives today, UML lawmaker Pradip Gyawali, who is also a former Foreign Minister, demanded that the House be informed about Prime Minister Deuba’s visit to the United States.
“Is this visit of the Prime Minister taking place in the capacity of the Prime Minister or the Minister of Defense?” Gyawali asked. “It is important for the House to know about this.”
PM Deuba is also looking after the portfolio of the Ministry of Defense.
Gyawali said the prime minister should inform parliament soon about his visit to the United States.
He also said that the government had not even discussed such important issues with the main opposition party as well.
