Soybean oil accounts for 27 percent of Nepal’s total exports

KATHMANDU: Soybean oil accounted for 27 percent of Nepal’s total exports in the first nine months of the running fiscal.

Goods worth Rs 160 billion were exported from the country in the first nine months of the running fiscal.

Of the total exports, soybean oil worth Rs 43.30 billion was exported during the review period.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank data, the share of soybean oil is increasing in terms of share in total national exports.

In the first month of the current fiscal year, oil accounted for 43.3 percent of share in the total exports.

In the first nine months of the last fiscal year, oil exports amounted to Rs. 28.81 billion.
