Courts across country to remain closed for four days

KATHMANDU: In view of the May 13 local election, all courts across the country, including the Supreme Court, will remain closed until May 16 starting tomorrow, Friday, according to a notice issued on Thursday by the apex court.

Courts will be closed for four consecutive days as the government has announced public holidays on these days, said the court’s joint spokesperson Debendra Dhakal.

However, the apex court will resume on coming Monday from 11 am to 3 pm wherein habeas corpus petitions will be heard as per Clause 26 of the Administration of Justice Act, 2073.
