30 injured in Doti bus accident



DOTI: Thirty people have been injured in a bus accident in Doti.

The accident took place when a passenger bus, Sudurpaschim Pradesh, 01-001 Kha 3108, was heading to Bajura carrying passengers from Dhangadhi.

The bus met with an accident at Purbichauki rural municipality-4, Sanagaun at 6 am today, said DSP of District Police Office, Doti, Bhola Bhatta.

The bus was ferrying passengers from Kailali, Kanchanpur including India to cast votes in the local level elections on Friday.

Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Election Officer Prakash Bahadur Bhandari, and locals have been deployed to rescue the injured.

According to the police, 16 of the injured are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Doti while 13 are receiving treatment at the local clinic. One seriously injured person has been referred to Dhangadhi.
