Two UML candidates under police control for security



MANGALBARE: Locals have brought the CPN-UML candidate for the chief of Sandakpur rural municipality, Ilam, Uday Rai, under their control.

They blamed Rai, who had reached Jamuna of Sandakpur rural municipality-5 on Wednesday night, and was brought under the control on the charge of making attempts to financially manipulate voters.

Similarly, ward member candidate Sita Karki was also brought under the control. Chief of the District-based Armed Police Force, Suresh Sapkota, said that both of them were brought under the control of security after locals started chasing them away blaming them for making publicity during silence hour.

Saying both of the candidates violated the Election Code of Conducts, the locals demanded action against them.
