NEPSE declines by 34.78 points Tuesday



KATHAMANDU: The stock market declined on Tuesday. The stock market index fell by 34.78 points to 2,385.2.

A total of 3,783,024 shares of 237 companies were traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 1.52 billion.

Of the total companies traded, 177 declined while 13 rose. The value of the remaining five companies is stable.

Of the 13 subgroups traded today, the indicators for all subgroups except Hotel and Tourism went negative. Hotel and tourism grew by 0.1 percent. Shares of NESDO Samriddhi Microfinance rose 10 percent on Tuesday. Apart from this, the shares of other institutions rose by less than 4 percent.

According to NEPSE sources, Himalayan Distillery Limited had the highest turnover today. The company had a turnover of Rs 57.51 million.
