Seven persons, including UML leader and ward chair, held on land-related fraud charges



KATHMANDU: Seven people, including a UML leader and ward chairperson, have been arrested in connection to fraud involving a plot of land in Sankhuwasabha.

Police arrested them after they transeferred 27 ropani plot of land belonging to Bimmaya Tamang to another person without Tamang’s knowledge.

The arrested have been identified as Kinsang Bhote, Surendra Tamang, Kalpana Bhote, Dimaljung Bhote, Anish Gurung, Pasang Sherpa and Mahendra Parajuli of Bhotekhola Rural Municipality-4.

They, including Ward Chairman Bhote, transferred 27 ropanis of Bimaya Tamang’s land to another person. They were made public on Saturday.
