Maoist Center focused on local level election: Chair Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that his party is focused on the upcoming election.

He said so during a program organized in Nuwakot on Saturday.

Prachanda said, “We are mulling electoral coordination within the ruling coalition. The focus of all political parties currently is on local elections. We are also focused on the local election,” he said.

He added that the party was running a two-month election campaign. “Though there was talk of a split in the party, we will take the party ahead united.”

On the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), he said that the party was not in favor of passing MCC as it was, and the explanatory note concerning the grant was an achievement.
