Nepal sees 836 new coronavirus cases, 4 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 207 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 836 new cases of coronavirus and 4 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday. Nepal recorded 1,128 new coronavirus cases and 14 deaths on Friday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 491 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 345 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 166 cases in Kathmandu, 10 in Bhaktapur and 31 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 207 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,882 to date.

Currently, there are 26,102 active cases in the country as 1,826 infected patients recovered.
