MORANG: Flights could not be operated from Biratnagar Airport till noon on Wednesday due to bad weather.

According to Utsav Kharel, chief of Biratnagar Airport, flights have not been able to take off from the airport till noon today due to bad weather.

The airport has not been able to open since morning due to thick fog and mist.

If the weather improves, the airport can be operated in the evening, Kharel said.

According to the airport, the visibility should be at least 1,600 meters for ATR aircraft and at least 2,000 meters for CRJ jets.

However, due to low visibility, it is said that there will be problems with take-offs and landings.
