Rukum East Hospital starts safe abortion service



RUKUM EAST: The Rukum East Hospital here has started providing safe abortion services and anti-rabies vaccines along with the health insurance services.

The locals here are elated with the access to these three services in addition to other health services at the Hospital.

It has launched the health insurance scheme, providing safe abortion services for up to 10 weeks of pregnancy and anti-rabies vaccines.
Chairperson of the Hospital Management Committee Phatte Kumari Oli, Sisne Rural Municipality Chair Kumari Baral and Chief District Officer Laxmi Prasad Baskota jointly launched these three services on Tuesday.

These services have been made available two years after the operation of the Hospital. Baral said provision of these services has increased accessibility to health services to the citizens.
