Election Commission lifts election code of conduct



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has lifted the election code of conduct to be effective from Monday, December 12.

The code was in force since September 28.

The code was in effect for the election to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly, which has been held successfully on November 20.

The decision to lift the code has been shared to Nepal government, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, ministries, and constitutional bodies, according to EC’s Spokesperson, Shaligram Poudel.
