Nepal sees 815 new coronavirus cases, five deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 815 new cases of coronavirus and five deaths in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 465 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 350 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,534 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,411 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,123 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,869 active cases in the country as 476 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Five more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,982 to date.
