NA fulfilling additional responsibilities given by govt: CoAS Sharma



KATHMANDU: Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS), Prabhu Ram Sharma has said the Nepali Army has been fulfilling additional responsibilities given by the government with professional capability.

In a program organized to unveil ‘KTFT Journal Volume 2’ by NA’s Kathmandu-Madhes fast track project on Monday, CoAS Sharma mentioned that the NA engaged in some development projects and completed some of the projects.

He added some of the projects are in the phase of completion.

He shared that the NA has expedited construction of fast track, the national pride project, with strategic and long-term importance.

Similarly, project chief Bikas Pokharel opined that the write-up related to development construction would make citizen-army relation strong.

On the occasion, CoAS Sharma presented prize to the first, second and third winners in the competition of strategic affairs write-up.

First winner Ashish Adhikari received Rs 200,000, second winner Biranji Poudyal got Rs 150,000 and third winners—Ashok Dhakal and Sapana Pathak received Rs 50,000.

Defense Secretary, Kiran Raj Sharma, was also present on the occasion.
