NC President Deuba reaches Sanepa, ignoring the student protest



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has entered the party’s central office skipping the students’ protest.

The students close to party leader Shekhar Koirala protested against the party President demanding fulfilling the positions lying vacant in various posts in the party’s fraternal organizations including Nepal Students Union, and Nepal Tarun Dal .

The protestors demanded that the party President should abide by the party statute.

Security has been tightened after students staged a protest at the NC central office in Sanepa. Security personnel have also been mobilized in large numbers.

NC has convened a meeting of the Central Committee to review the local elections and discuss internal issues of the party.
