Agreement between Agriculture and Forestry University, ICIMOD



KATHMANDU: A bilateral agreement has been reached between the Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Chitwan, and the International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) to help with agriculture, forestry, and the environment of Nepal.

Vice-Chancellor of the University Pro Dr Punya Prasad Regmi and ICIMOD General Director Dr Pema Gyamtsho signed the agreement at a function here.

The agreement aims to help with the agriculture, forestry and environment in the mountainous areas of Nepal through the publicity of researches, knowledge, creations and studies on related fields and green agricultural promotion and in a climate-friendly way, it has been said.

There will be cooperation between the two institutions for writing a preface for a research, increasing efficiency of teachers and students and launching other educational activities, said planning director of the University, Dr Shiva Chandra Dhakal. (RSS)
